What was the one thing that most impressed you about this curriculum?

The manipulatives were created to be user-friendly and fairly durable with frequency of use in mind. The high contrast of colors (blue on white, blue and a dark yellow, green on white, etc.) enhances the visibility of the manipulatives. I appreciated that the author did not select unusual color combinations such as pink and green and avoided any ultra-violet colors that might trigger responses that interfere with learning for those students on the autism spectrum.

What should parents of children with learning needs be aware of when looking into this curriculum?

The information in each lesson is segmented or presented in “chuncks” that are easy to process and remember prior to proceeding to the next segment or “chunk” and thus build upon each other in a logical fashion which reinforces learning and retention …
