Choosing to Thrive with Alisa Marie LLC
After years in a preschool classroom with little technology, 2020 came as a big shock! As we all adjusted to remote learning, I found I loved being able to partner with parents. I have always believed that parents are a child’s first teacher. Parents are a child’s first, most important and enduring teachers. I am pleased to be able to continue supporting parents with virtual Parenting Coach services.
After over 10 years in a variety of classrooms, I found myself teaching remotely in 2020. I was surprised to enjoy the new aspect of working so closely with parents in their home to support their child’s learning. I decided in 2021 that it was time to start planning leaving the classroom and explore parent coaching. My focus currently is helping home schooling families KEEP homeschooling!

With the increase in home schooling and awareness of the effects of inflation, I also offer a monthly membership that combines tutoring with parent coaching. I call this collaborative tutoring. I spend 45 minutes tutoring your child in their identified areas of need, then the last 15 minutes with the adult working together to guide their next steps in learning for the week. Schedule a discovery call to see if we are a good match!
